I started making furniture in 1989, after I put my land into CRP. Working full time at Bobcat in Gwinner, limited the time that I could work in my shop. Evenings and weekends would find me out there working on different projects. I retired from Bobcat in January of 2010. Now that I had more time to devote to making furniture, I decided to build a new shop. I had been working out of an old granary that we insulated and converted, but I needed more room. My new shop was finished the end of February 2011. It's great! I now have more room, an office, finishing room, and a bathroom.
My wife, Dorreen, is enjoying the new shop as well. She does the finishing of the furniture and also manages the office.
If you are in the Rutland area, stop by and check out our shop. We look forward to visitors and the coffee is always on!
